With leaves that appear sculpted like shimmering green armor or mythical dragon scales, the Alocasia ‘Dragon Scale’ is a collector’s dream. Originating from the rainforests of Borneo, this compact Alocasia variety brings bold structure and lush texture to indoor spaces. 

Key Features:

• Unique surface: dark green, highly textured leaves with a metallic sheen and contrasting undersides.

• Indoor size: Approx. 25–36″ (~60–90 cm) tall, with a spread of about 12–24″ (~30–60 cm) when mature, ideal for stylish plant corners.

• Rare and visually captivating — a distinctive piece for serious plant collectors.

Care Instructions:

• Light: Bright indirect light is best. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent scorch on the textured leaves.

• Water & Soil: Use a chunky, fast-draining mix (e.g., coco coir + orchid bark + perlite). Allow the top 1–2″ of soil to dry out between waterings—overwatering can cause root rot. 

• Humidity & Temp: Prefers warmth (~60–80 °F / 16–27 °C) and high humidity. If indoor air is dry, supplement with a humidifier or tray of pebbles. 

• Feeding: During active growth (spring/summer), fertilize lightly (half-strength) once a month. Reduce feeding in fall/winter.

• Common Issues: Leaf drop can occur when light or humidity drops. Brown crispy tips may signal low humidity; soggy soil can lead to leaf yellowing.
